Guntur: BJP State president Kanna Lakshminarayana demanded that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy take steps to close liquor shops and bars in the State in the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus.
In a letter written to Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday, Kanna urged him take steps to distribute ration and provide financial assistance to the poor as they will face problems due to lockdown.
He appreciated the steps taken by the State government to check spread of coronavirus.
He urged the government to utilise services of village and ward volunteers in taking preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19.
He stressed on the need to take steps to check spread of coronavirus through village or ward volunteers.
