The Office of the Development Commissioner (DC), Sri City SEZ, Federation of Indian Exporters Organisation (FIEO)-Southern Region, Chennai, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC), Chennai, and the management of Sri City, have jointly conducted a seminar on ‘Diversification of International Markets and Risk Management in International Trade’ in Sri city on Tuesday for the benefit of exporting units.

Tirupati: The Office of the Development Commissioner (DC), Sri City SEZ, Federation of Indian Exporters Organisation (FIEO)-Southern Region, Chennai, Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (ECGC), Chennai, and the management of Sri City, have jointly conducted a seminar on 'Diversification of International Markets and Risk Management in International Trade' in Sri city on Tuesday for the benefit of exporting units.

Inaugurating the session, the DC R Muthuraj has explained the objective of conducting the conclave and appealed the participants to actively interact with experts. Explaining on the relevance of the theme, MD Ravindra Sannareddy said that it will provide a great opportunity for all the stakeholders to update their knowledge.

The seminar was organised in three different sessions. In the first session K Unnikrishnan, Deputy Director General FIEO (SR) gave a detailed presentation on the present Global Trade Scenario and stressed on the need for innovative marketing approach. In the next session Selvanayagi, Deputy Director, FIEO, Chennai, gave a lecture on 'Identifying New Markets and Buyers, Free Trade Agreements and FIEO 's role on International trade'.

In the last session Rajendran, Manager, ECGC, Chennai spoke on 'Risk Management and New initiatives of ECGC to support Exporters'. Sri City's Vice President (Customer Relations) C Ramesh Kumar also took part and over 50 delegates from various industrial units attended the training session.
