Tirupati: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD ) employees are facing hardships to attend duties at Srivari's shrine in Tirumala. It may be noted that there is no scope for hundreds of employees to stay in Tirumala on permanent basis. Since many years, employees were going to Tirumala from Tirupati which was located at foothills of Lord Venkateswara shrine. Due to the non-availability of APSRTC buses, around 3,500 employees were facing difficulties to go to Tirumala on time for attending duties. Before the lockdown, RTC had operated adequate buses for employees transportation. But due to nation-wide lockdown bus services were stopped. Now only weekly once on Tuesday only RTC is running buses for employees for changing shifts.

As per the government latest order 100% of employees were attending duties. Hence at least 30 RTC buses are needed per day for transportation of employees. But officials of TTD and APSRTC have ignored the problem.

For officials, it is a minor problem, however, for employees it is a major problem. For the last three days, hundreds of employees are going on bikes every day from Tirupati to attend duties in Tirumala.

In this regard TTD staff and workers united front president M Nagarjuna demanded that higher officials should arrange a sufficient number of RTC buses for employees.
