Over 1.5 lakh fall sick due to water-borne viral fevers

As many as 157,445 people have fallen sick due of viral fevers. Double this number is said to be admitted to private hospitals. District Medical and Health Officer Kondal Rao told The Hans India that water pollution was the reason behind the ongoing viral fevers.

As many as 65 people from both the Telugu States were stranded in Nepal’s capital Kathmandu due to the negligent attitude of the tour operator. People from Khammam, Krishna, Guntur and Srikakulam districts were among those who were stuck in Nepal. Some of them called a reporter of The Hans India by phone and sought the support to reach them back to India.
