In a bid to provide nutritious food to 10,000 SC families that are below poverty line, the department of animal husbandry is gearing up to supply 10,000 rural backyard poultry units in the financial year 2017-18. Each unit consists of 45 birds and will be supplied in two instalments of 20 and 25 each, in the gap of three weeks.
