ASHA workers demand wage hike

ASHA workers, under the aegis of CITU, staged a protest here on Thursday, demanding that the government should enhance their minimum wage to Rs 6,000 per month. CITU division president Ramudu, secretaries Jaya and Raju said ASHA workers are working like bonded labourers. “They are being denied salaries for the past six months,” they added.
