Irregularities alleged in Wakf Board affairs
Putting the blame directly on the State government over ‘maladministration’ in state of affairs at TS Wakf Board, the All India Majlis-e-Inquilab-e-Millat (AIMIM) party has sought the intervention of chief justice of High Court in the matter.

A delegation comprising party leaders led by its president Syed Taraq Quadri, general secretary, M A Quddus Ghori, treasurer, M A Qavi Abbasi and others called on the Chief Justice of High Court on September 4 and brought the issue into his notice. The delegation made a written representation to the CJ, informing that the government was 'promoting maladministration' in Telangana State Wakf Board, ever since it came to power.
"No regular CEO was appointed and those who were given this important responsibility were with additional charge since the year 2014. While the appointment of two members for Wakf Tribunal has been pending for a long, further weakening the authority in dealing with cases related to Wakf. More so, State Wakf board's record room is illegally shut for two years, reflecting the government mala fide intention in discharging its statutory obligations," said their representation.
"Most of Waqf Board Members have already completed their tenure and a few reinstated after suspension for breach of trust are working as pawns in the game plan to allow loot of Wakf properties," they alleged.
Seeking intervention of the CJ, the leaders urged him to direct the State government to appoint two members of Waqf Tribunal and unlock record room that was locked illegally against the provisions of Waqf Act.
They sought direction to implement Supreme Court judgment regarding payment of salaries to Imam and Moazzans' that would help dispense of justice to weaker section of the society.
