Kasaragod: The police have booked a triple talaq case against an NRI from Kerala. A woman has approached Kasaragod police station that her husband Ashraf (34) has sent a voice message on Whatsapp saying three times talaq and immediately married another woman.

According to her complaint, She and Ashraf got married in July 2007 who is working in UAE, and they have two school-going children. At the time of the marriage, he has taken Rs 2.5 lakh and 160kg gold worth Rs 5.5 lakh for them. But Ashraf had been continuously harassing her for more money.

In March, she filed a domestic violence case against him as he harassed her whenever he returns to home. Ashraf, who pretended to be changed for some time, again started to show his real behaviour. He threatened to divorce her if she doesn't bring more money.
