 CM calls for presenting credible news 

Hyderabad: Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy formally launched Metro India- a Hyderabad-based English news daily here on Saturday. The daily is from the publishers of the ‘Namaste Telangana, a Telugu daily. Addressing the gathering, he said “You should mould the paper in such a way that people trust the news published in your paper.

Your paper should become part of daily routine in the lives of people” he advised. Senior leader of BJP, M Venkaiah Naidu stressed the need for sensible and meaningful journalism and urged the newsmen not to mix up news with views. Newspapers shall create awareness among people on all issues and protect democracy” Venkaiah said.


“Don’t publish news items which create more confusion in the present circumstances” B V Raghavulu, CPM secretary advised. It is difficult to run any newspaper in any language under the present conditions, Asaduddin Owaisi, MP felt.
