Forest Dept exams rescheduled. In view of the general elections, the AP Forest Department on Friday, rescheduled the examinations for recruitment of staff and will now be held from May 11.

Hyderabad: In view of the general elections, the AP Forest Department on Friday, rescheduled the examinations for recruitment of staff and will now be held from May 11.

The Forest Department has announced recruitment of 2167 posts of FSO, FBO , ABO and others in February and the exams should have been held in April but due to non-availability of staff and centres, they were deferred.

The written test will consist of three papers viz paper I for English or Telugu or Urdu for 20 marks and the duration is one hour. Paper II will be general knowledge which will be of one and half hour duration and maximum marks of 100 and paper III in general mathematics which will be of one and half hour duration and maximum marks of 100.

A minimum of 35 per cent of marks in each paper with an aggregate of 40 per cent in total is required to qualify for the next step. The qualified candidates will be subjected to the test of walking a distance of 25km in four hours duration. In case of woman candidates, a distance of 16km is to be completed in four hours duration. After getting through this, there will be final interview.
