Karntaka: Bus gutted in fire; 6 killed, 12 injured

Hyderabad: Early on Wednesday, a bus caught fire in Karnataka killing 6 persons. A private bus overturned and immediately caught fire. In this accident, as many as 6 persons were killed while 12 more sustained severe injuries.

An S.P.R travels bus which was on its way to Bengaluru from Davangir became uncontrollable when it reached near Metikurti of Hiriyaru taluk and immediately overturned. As soon as the bus got overturned, it caught fire and the bus completely burned to a crisp in fire.

The victims have been rushed to a nearby hospital, according to Ravi Kumar, the Superintendent of Police of the local district. When the accident took place, there were 29 passengers inside the bus. Fire rescue team reached the spot immediately, and has been trying to put out the fire.
