It is worth mentioning here that Ganji Chiranjeevi has been selected as the Telugu Desam Party candidate for Mangalagiri Assembly constituency in place of Ramachandra Prabhu who was given the TDP ticket earlier for the same constituency. The ‘B’ Form has been given to Chiranjeevi who belongs to the community of weavers. Chiranjeevi felt very happy for getting the party ticket to contest in the imminent polls in return for his 25yrs services to the party.

It is worth mentioning here that initially the ticket was allotted to Ramachandra Prabhu. The activists of TDP and supporters of Chiranjeevi raised a question of allocation of ticket for a non-local candidate and they went on protesting. At last, the ticket was now given to Chiranjeevi.
