Hyderabad: With just 10 days to go for polling in Telangana region, the main political parties have launched a high voltage campaign. TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao performed a rare feat by addressing 10 public meetings in a day in Adilabad district. On the other hand TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu addressed five meetings in Nalgonda district. YSRCP star campaigner Sharmila took up a whirlwind tour of constituencies in Hyderabad.

Launching a vitriolic attack on these parties, Rao said if people commit a small mistake of casting their vote in favour of any other party, they will have to repent at leisure. He said only TRS understood the aspirations of the people and knew what needs to be done to make it into a ‘Golden Telangana.’ “If TRS does not come to power, the dreams of the people could never be realised,” he said. He said Adilabad is ‘Kashmir of Telangana’ and the district would be developed into a major tourist destination. “The district, which has abundant water resources, will be transformed into an agricultural hub,” Rao added.

Naidu who turned 66 on Sunday called upon people to give a serious thought of what kind of future they envisage. He directed his criticism against the Congress party at the Centre and the TRS in the state. He said development of the new State was not possible either by “Congress thieves or TRS which is a Vasool Raja party.”

On the other hand, Sharmila during her one-day campaign in Jubilee Hills, went round Khairatabad, Sanath Nagar and Sherlingamapalli constituencies. The poll campaign drew mixed response from people. In Khairatabad and Sherlingampalli, Sharmila received huge response while in the other constituencies, the attendance was comparatively thin.
