Hyderabad: The Congress Party has received yet another blow at Uravakonda constituency. Chenna Kesava Rao, son of ex-minister late Gurram Naraynappa, has joined Telugu Desam Party in presence of Chandrababu Naidu, the president of Telugu Desam Party on Wednesday. Chenna Kesava Rao earlier joined PRP after he retired from government service and contested the previous polls in 2009 on PRP ticket from Uravakonda constituency.

He continued as the Congress Party candidate after the merger of Chiranjeevi led PRP in Congress Party.

Though Congress Party has offered the ticket to contest in the looming polls from Uravakonda constituency, Chenna Kesava Rao has not shown interest and took the decision to join TDP. Along with him, many congress leaders from Vidapanakallu, Vajrakarur and Uravakonda mandals joined Telugu Desam Party.
