Hyderabad: The answer keys of all subjects of JEE Main will be released any time between 2 pm on April 28 and 5 pm on April 29. They are not going to be uploaded on Friday (April 25) as expected, according to CBSE. The delay was said to be due to a last minute glitch with regard to some answers of online exam, reports said.
The offline examination was held on April 6 and the online test was conducted on April 9, 11, 12 and 19.
Candidates are allowed to challenge the answer keys through the link available on the website of JEE (Main) latest by 5 pm on May 29. A fee of Rs 1000 per question will be required to be submitted through credit/debit card or e-challan. The Board also assured that if the challenge is accepted i.e if the mistake is noticed by the subject experts in the answer key, the fee shall be refunded.
The results are expected to be announced on May 3 and the All India ranks will be declared tentatively on July 7.
Meanwhile, the OMR answer sheets along with scanned images and recorded responses of the candidates, who have appeared in pen and paper based JEE (Main) 2014, will be uploaded on the official website: www.cbse.nic.in and www.jeemain.nic.in from April 25 to April 28till 2 pm.
“Candidates can challenge the CBSE if the recorded responses differ from the ones they had marked on the OMR sheet. The complaints regarding the discrepancies in scanned images of OMR sheets will be accepted online only through the link available on the website of JEE (Main) latest by 2 pm on April 28.The challenges submitted by post will not be accepted. Candidates have to pay Rs 1000 per recorded response challenged and have to pay through Credit/Debit Card or e-challan only by the same date and time,” CBSE made it clear.
If the challenge is accepted by the board, the correction in the required area will be done and fee will be refunded, it added.
‘The question paper and recorded responses in respect of the examinees who have appeared for computer based examination have already been sent on their registered mail IDs. So no challenge will be accepted. Before viewing the OMR sheets, the candidates who have still not submitted their roll numbers of class 12 or equivalent qualifying examination can submit the same on the JEE Main website, the Board said.
Correct them before April 28
The Board has given one last chance to make corrections in the category and state of eligibility if required. They can do it on or before April 28, the Board stated.
Candidates desiring to change their category or State code of eligibility may do the corrections in their application form by logging in the website before the deadline.
“The candidates are advised to do the corrections very carefully as this is the last chance for correction in the application form. No further request for correction in category or State code of eligibility will be entertained for whatsoever reason. The candidates may also note that correction in the Name of the Board or correction in the Roll No. of Class 12th /qualifying examination will be allowed at the time of display of Board marks on the website of www.jeemain.nic.in during the month of June, 2014,” Joint Director of CBSE said.
It is also informed that no correction is allowed in the Candidate's Name, Father's name, Mother's name and Date of Birth, he added.
