Nizamabad/Medak: ‘I will complain to the Governor against TPCC president Ponnala Laxmaiah as he and his son had grabbed lands of Dalits in Dharmasagar mandal for their Tirumala Hatcheries’, thundered TRS chief KCR here on Thursday. He would lodge a complaint against Ponnala with a demand for inquiry. ‘I will make sure that he goes to jail’, Rao said during his whirlwind tours by helicopter of Bitchkunda, Banswada, Yellareddy, Bodhan, Armoor, Morthad, Ditchpalli, Kamareddy and Medak and Narsapur areas.
He claimed that the land grab of Ponnala had been exposed. ‘His arrest is certain’. KCR demanded an inquiry by the Warangal Collector. Officials in Dharmasagar were sure to be suspended and jailed, Rao stated. The TRS chief objected to the region’s tour by Narendra Modi with Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. He demanded Modi’s apology to T people, describing the Gujarat CM as a ‘people’s enemy’ and ‘zero’. He claimed that Modi was reading the sript written by Chandrababu Naidu and Venkaiah Naidu.
KCR objected to the Congress leaders’ ‘wrong’ claims that MGNREGS would be scrapped if the party was defeated. He promised to implement 12 per cent reservations for Muslims, take back occupied Wakf lands and given protection by the TRS government. He pledged to give agriculture top priority, waive farmers’ loans of Rs.1 lakh, give tax relief to tractors and taxies and waive MV Tax on autos. Government employees would be given same facilities as the Central staff.
Rao accused Ponnala and former Ministers D K Aruna and N Raghuveera Reddy of launching the Galeru-Nagari project without allocation of water and securing clearances. He said Nizamabad district had flourished in the past, but lost under the Seemandhra rule. KCR promised to allocate the Singur water to Nizamabad and Medak districts. He said the Pranahita-Chevella project would ensure irrigation priority in Nizamabad. He warned Congress leaders against attacking TRS candidate Bajireddy Govardhan.
