Trained by African coach, Saleh, the two are products of Sports Coaching Foundation (SCF), which organized a ‘do-well’ felicitation function for the two who will be part of the Indian squad that is Chile-bound for the Slum Soccer League Championship, under the auspices of FIFA.

Former India captain, Victor Amalraj, appreciated the efforts being put in by the Foundation in providing free training to talented sportspersons from under-privileged families. He gave away cheques worth Rs 5, 000 each to the two players and also to the coach.

Foundation Secretary, K Saibaba said they would continue to extend such assistance to talented players coming from economically backward sections.

Veteran boxer Steven and Rajeev Kotharam from Yuva Sports Academy Kerala were also present on the occasion.
