This is the third such incident of a bomb blast in Pune in the last four years. In 2010, a blast at the popular German Bakery in Koregaon Park neighbourhood killed 20 people and injured around 50. In 2012, five low-intensity explosions were set off in the Deccan Gymkhana area, but no one was injured.

According to latest reports coming in, several vehicles were damaged in a low intensity blast near the famous Dagadusheth Halvai Ganesh temple.

The bomb was placed in a bike which was parked in the Faraskhana police station's parking lot situated close to the temple.

Police have cordoned off the area and have picked up five suspects.
