Hyderabad: The Telangana government is likely clear the air over fee reimbursement issue in four to five days. After the review meeting with chief secretary and experts at Telangana Secretariat here on Friday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed the officials to make guidelines for the issuance of fee reimbursement GO.
According to sources, the father’s nativity is being considered strongly for reimbursing the fee. The students will be asked to give self declaration to the colleges about their father’s nativity to make them eligible for the scheme. The self-declarations would be verified by the college managements and the students will not receive reimbursement if they were found falsifying the information, sources said.
If sources are to be believed, the government is planning to scrap fee reimbursement for the single window 3 seats. It may be recalled that the Telangana government had directed its officials to appeal in the Apex Court for the extension of counselling date, concrete decision is yet to be arrived. Once the standoff over fee reimbursement is resolved, counselling notification will be released.
