To write to Central Water Commission

Hyderabad: TRS government has decided to write to Central Water Commission (CWC) seeking review of allocation of Krishna water in view of injustice done to Telangana region during the last six decades.

Brajesh Kumar Tribunal should review the situation and the need to re-allocate water to four states-Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra. The TRS government has sought this change according to section 3 of CWC.

Meanwhile government sources informed that they would approach Supreme Court on this issue. It is a formality to bring this issue to the notice of the government before moving to Apex court, they said.

Already, Karnataka and undivided Andhra Pradesh States had filed petitions in Supreme Court expressing their discontent with allocations made by The tribunal. Now Telangana State is set to echo the same feeling. It may be mentioned here that Brajesh Kumar Tribunal meeting would be held on July 21.
