GHMC decides to demolish all illegal constructions

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has decided to not spare any of the illegal constructions. The officials of GHMC have identified as many as 890 illegal constructions. As part of the implementation of razing of the buildings, 172 most illegal constructions will be undertaken for demolition from Tuesday onwards, in the first phase.

Necessary instructions have been passed by the GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar to the concerned staff. He said that they were still not in receipt of any orders from the court concerning the N-Convention Episode. Further, he said that they would discuss with the legal experts about the voluntary demolition undertaken by the N Convention owners.
