Blaze kills old woman

Hyderabad: An old woman was burnt alive when the fire broke out at a home in Dimmalakudali village of Machilipatnam in Krishna district. The details regarding the fire accident are not known yet. More details are awaited.

It is worth recollecting that an old woman was burnt alive on June 25, when three huts were gutted in the fire at Indupalli village of Unguturu mandal in Krishna district. The fire accident took place at around 3.30 A.M. early on that day, while everyone was sleeping outside their homes under the roof of the sky. All of sudden sparking took place in a switchboard of a house. An old woman Venkata Raghavamma who was sleeping inside the house was burnt alive as she could not come out of the home. Also, the youth who attempted to rescue her was also hurt. The fire spread to neighbouring two houses as well. The fire fighting team and the police rushed the spot and has been investigating the matter.

These incidents clearly indicate that there is a lack of adoption of preventive measures, for sure.
