Hyderabad: The general body of Andhra Pradesh Harijan Sevak Sangh which met here has decided to list out all its properties which were mostly situated in Andhra Pradesh. The meeting has also decided to remain united in spite of the bifurcation of the State.

President of AP Harijan Sevak Sangh Chennupati Vidya and vice-chairman C V Chari who is also the chairman of Gandhi Trust said here on Wednesday that all the members belonging to both the regions unanimously decided to remain united.Regarding the activities of AP Harijan Sevak Sangh which was the branch of All India Harijan Sevak Sangh started by Mahatma Gandhi way back in 1932, they said that they would initiative to undertake more programmes for the welfare of Harijans all over the State.

Almost all the members belonging to the two regions stated concern over the alienation of Sangh properties in Andhra Pradesh and asked the executive committee to take remedial steps to retrieve the properties from the clutches of the encroachers. High Court Advocate Shaik Mastan Vali, who attended the meeting as a special invitee, has advised the executive committee to serve legal notices to the encroachers to bring them round.

Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (Trifed) chairperson M Suryanaik has been formally inducted into the executive committee of the Harijan Sevak Sangh as member with voice vote.
