Lakshman, Renuka Chowdary, a Member of Parliament, on Thursday said that the comments made by the Bharatiya Janata Party MLA are most unfortunate. She said that the BJP whose slogan is Beti Bachao and Beti Padao inside the parliament turns to be a matter of waste outside the house. In a similar tone Kavitha, a TRS MP, also reacted and shattered the comments as nonsense. She said that Lakshman should look at the laurels Sania has brought to the nation, before making any such comments.
Bowing to the pressure on the BJP, Prakash Javadekar said that the comments made by Lakshman were his personal comments and not of the party. He said that Sania was nation’s pride and held her as the India’s brand ambassador. In a similar tone Murali Manohar Joshi also responded and stated that the press statement of a person resembles his personal nature.
