Secunderabad Railway Station: 1031 Ticket Less Cases Booked. Drastic times calls for drastic measures, such was the case at Secunderabad Railway station yesterday. An alarming number of 1031 persons were booked at the drop of hat on 25th July, 2014 for irregularities during train travel.

An amount of Rs. 4, 68, 900 was collected as penalty from the offenders, of which 474 persons were commuting without ticket, 423 persons were travelling irregularly and 134 cases of un-booked luggage, was seized.
In a press note released by Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway 140 ticket checking staff along with employees carried out the drive and checked the tickets of every commuter. During the check, all the exit points at Secunderabad Railway station were blocked to prevent ticket less travelers from escaping.
