Plant saplings to save evironment, says Minister. Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna has appealed to the public to plant saplings at their houses in order to protect the environment.
Adilabad: Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna has appealed to the public to plant saplings at their houses in order to protect the environment. He planted saplings in a programme organised by Forest Department at Tilak Nagar in the town on Sunday. Later, Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy temple committee members felicitated the Minister, Adilabad MP G Nagesh, Boath MLA Rathod Bapu Rao and Adilabad municipal chairperson Rangineni Mahisha.
The Minister called upon the public to give their valuable suggestions for the development of the district. He announced that State Government would launch ‘ Kalyana Lakshmi’ scheme for providing Rs 50,000 for marriage expenses of SCs and STs. The Minister said that government would launch housing scheme after Diwali festival. He assured that a Model School and Railway overbridge would be constructed in Tilak Nagar soon. Forest Officer Sunil, Range Officer Nageswar Rao and others were present.
