Hyderabad gears up for HMUN 2014, Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) India 2014 will be conducted at HICC, Hyderabad from August 13 to August 16.

Hyderabad: Harvard Model United Nations (HMUN) India 2014 will be conducted at HICC, Hyderabad from August 13 to August 16. The four-day conference will see around 1,200 high school students across 140 schools from 30 cities and towns in India and over 12 different countries worldwide debating and discussing pertinent global issues and challenges. Another feature of this year’s seminar is that 120 Pakistani students will take part and play the roles of delegates representing different countries. These students will be staying in HICC Novotel for the duration of the entire conference and they will be celebrating their Independence Day (August 14) as well as the Indian Independence Day on August 15 here in Hyderabad. This event would mark the strengthening of bonds between both the countries.

HMUN India brings together students from across the world to provide a platform that empowers and enables them to take on the challenge of building a better world. Many distinguished speakers will participate in the meet and share their thoughts with the students.

KT Rama Rao (KTR), Minister of IT and Panchayati Raj affairs, Telangana State, Rakesh Sharma, Indian cosmonaut (First Indian to travel in space), Michael Mullins, Consul General of the US Consulate General Hyderabad, and Murat Omeroglu, secretary, Turkish Foreign Affairs Ministry will speak in the conference among other eminent dignitaries.

The Harvard Model United Nations 2014 is co-hosted by Harvard International Relations Council, Boston and MUN Café - a brand of Worldview Education, a global learning platform for Model United Nations enthusiasts across the world.
