Man arrested for bid to rape minor girl, Hyderabad, The Banjara Hills police on Friday arrested a 55-year-old man on the charge of attempting to rape a 14-year-old girl.According to Inspector P Murali Krishna, the accused, Prem Chand, a resident of Srinagar Colony, allegedly tried to rape the minor girl in his neighbourhood.
Hyderabad: The Banjara Hills police on Friday arrested a 55-year-old man on the charge of attempting to rape a 14-year-old girl.According to Inspector P Murali Krishna, the accused, Prem Chand, a resident of Srinagar Colony, allegedly tried to rape the minor girl in his neighbourhood. Following a complaint received by the girl's parents, police registered a case and took the accused into custody.
A case has been registered under appropriate sections of the IPC against the suspect, Prem Chand.Meanwhile, the Balala Hakkula Sangham demanded the police to book the accused under Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
