Hyderabad: A 23-year-old doctor, who was about to complete her internship in the next two months, allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan at her house in Pragathinagar under KPHB police limits late on Thursday night.
According to police, Pravalika married Niranjan, 28, a native of Nellore district in January. On Thursday night, she locked herself in her room and hanged herself, KPHB sub-inspector, Raju said.
Marital discord since marriage was suspected to have led to Priyanaka taking extreme step. A case has been registered against husband under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
