Vijayawada: ‘Master blaster’ and MP Sachin Tendulkar on Friday inaugurated PVP Square at Labbipet, here. He was greeted by a large number of enthused fans. Sachin greeted the crowd saying ‘Sodara Sodareemanulaara’ (brothers and sisters) electrifying those, both inside and on the road. As he reached the mall, thousands of mobile phones were on, everyone trying to catch their hero.

Dressed in dark lavender shirt and black jeans, he got out of the car at the mall entrance to the lusty cheers of the people, who have been waiting for a couple of hours. He waved to the gathering and walked in to be received by PVP and Sai Padma.
The crowed occupied the pathway of all five floors watching Sachin and other film stars. Poll dance by a Russian girl was a special attraction. Film director K Raghavendra Rao, producer C Aswini Dutt, actor Anushka were present.
Speaking after the inauguration, Tendulkar said he was feeling happy for the welcome given by the citizens. He thanked the fans/supporters who have been backing him for 25 years of his career. He praised managing director and PVP’s sister, Potluri Sai Padma, who executed the project in five years.
The mall is owned by leading businessman Prasad V Potluri, who invested over Rs 125 crore in the prestigious project spread over 4.27 lakh square feet, said to be the City’s largest shop-mall-cum-multiplex.
