Somesh Kumar Hyderabad: GHMC commissioner Somesh Kumar appealed to people of Telangana to participate in the Intensive Household Survey that is to be conducted on August 19th. He assured that a comprehensive database was to be made for the benefit of the people. All government schemes including welfare schemes would be reached to public based on this database. He assuaged the apprehensions prevailed among the general public. He was in HMTV studio and answered various questions posed by general public across the state.

Excerpts: No nativity, no details of PAN card

The Municipal Commissioner says that this survey is an innovative and unique of its kind. He advised the public to keep all the required documents ready so that the process could be completed quickly. He said that there was no need to submit photo copies.

”Giving wrong information, avoiding any important details may land you in some problem,” he cautioned. He reiterated that there was no column on ‘nativity’ and details of PAN card. People across the Telangana questioned the GHMC commissioner to clarify their doubts. Most of them are confused about where to enroll the data? Why should they give bank account details etc.

The GHMC commissioner said that the people should enroll the data in the place where they presently reside. The details of their assets, wherever they may be, can be entered. However, enrollment should be done in a single place. He clarified that the details of Bank account will be used in future for the purpose like money transfer in various welfare schemes.

Somesh Kumar emphasized that the survey was very important one and every person should participate without any doubts.

“The development programmes of the government will reach the public based on this data,” he informed. He also said that there were many services involved in it. “if you want a passport, driving license, water or electricity or LPG connection in future, the data base will be verified,” Somesh Kumar said.

65,000 work force

To make this survey successful, as many as 65,000 people are being deployed in the process. A pre-visit for the survey is scheduled on 17th and 18th. The enumerators will identify the house to be surveyed and distribute a leaflet and a checklist. The given form should be filled up and submit it on the next day.

Check-list

LPG connection details, Bank Account details, Aadhaar Card, PH Certificate (if applicable), Electricity Bill, Pattadar Passbook, Caste Certificate et al. Somesh Kumar said the survey would begin from morning 7’0 clock. Incase nobody turns up for the survey, people can call the 040-21111111, where a quick response team will take up the issue. The commissioner hopes that the one-day survey will get much better and a clear picture of the people’s status, so that the government schemes can be implemented seamlessly.
