Banwarlal: Voter List Amendments in a Little While. Chief Electoral Officer Banwarlal said that the amendment program to the voters list will be undertaken from November 1.

Hyderabad: Chief Electoral Officer Banwarlal said that the amendment program to the voters list will be undertaken from November 1. He addressed the media at Ongole in Prakasam district on Thursday and said that the applications for the same will be received up to November 30. He said that the Aadhar Card will be linked to Voter Card to curb the illegal activities in this milieu. He said that a decision will be soon taken on the bi-election of Allagadda constituency in Kurnool district.

It is worth recollecting that the elections for the Allagadda Assembly Constitution have been in a tight spot with the tragic death of Shobha Nagireddy, the YSR Congress Party candidate from the Allgadda assembly constituency. Initially, the Chief Election Commissioner of the state Banwar Lal said that the votes polled for Shobha Nagireddy will not be considered and in case if the bereaved candidate gets the majority, the one who will stand next to her in the race would be declared as the winner. Nevertheless, with the intervention and the clarity received from the National Election Commission, it was decided that in case late Shobha Nagireddy wins the poll, there will be a by election for Allagadda constituency.
