New Delhi: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) on black money submitted an action taken report on its findings and recommendations on the illegal funds issue to the Supreme Court on Wednesday. The apex court expressed satisfaction on the steps taken by the SIT for bringing back black money stashed away by Indians in foreign banks.
The court also took on record SIT's first report on black money and asked it to file another progress report after two months.
The SIT, headed by retired Supreme Court judge Justice M B Shah, met for the first time on June 2 and then separately held meetings with various departments and agencies on the panel over a period of two months.
