Raviteja's Kick 2 isn’t a sequel
Stating that ‘Kick 2’ has nothing to do with ‘Kick’, director Surendar Reddy said the film will be a story of Kalyan and Naina’s son. Kalyan and Naina were the roles enacted by Ravi Teja and Ileana in the 2009 flick ‘Kick’. ‘Kick 2’ was officially launched in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Besides lead star Ravi Teja, actors NTR and Allu Arjun participated in the muhurat ceremony of the film. A production of N Kalyan Ram on Nandamuri Arts, the film is said to be made on a grand scale and is being planned for a March 28 release next year.
Ravi Teja said, “After ‘Kick’, this is another full-length entertainer with Surendar Reddy. It would give another round of kick for the audience.” The film which went on floors on Wednesday itself is penned by Vakkantham Vamsi while SS Thaman will compose the soundtrack. The makers are yet to rope in a leading lady for Ravi Teja.
