Tremendous Response to TTD Online Tickets. The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam’s initiative of issuing special entry Rs.300 ‘darshan’ tickets online got an overwhelming response when Executive Officer MG Gopal released them on Wednesday.

Tirumala: The Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam’s initiative of issuing special entry Rs.300 ‘darshan’ tickets online got an overwhelming response when Executive Officer MG Gopal released them on Wednesday. Hundreds of tickets were sold in no time. People in Vijayawada queued up to avail of the facility. The TTD commenced advance booking of the tickets a week before from August 20 on a trial basis. The tickets will be sold in Internet booking and e-darshan counters of the TTD. In the first phase, 2,500 tickets were sold on the net and the remaining were available at TTD e-darshan centers.

A total of 850 tickets were allotted to the Hyderabad centre, while 675 to Visakhapatnam, 350 to Vijayawada, 200 to Tirupati, 100 each to Kurnool and Nellore. Nizamabad, Warangal and Anantapur were allotted 75 each.

Those who got tickets on Wednesday will be allowed for ‘darshan’ at 2 pm and 3 pm slots on August 27 Devotees, who want to buy tickets online, have to upload their photo identity cards. The amount can be paid through debit or credit card.
