Hyderabad: Creation of various grids and mission approach appears to be the new `mantra' of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu to develop the State.

Addressing a one-day workshop for the TDP leaders on Thursday, Naidu gave a power point presentation to explain how he proposes to develop the truncated State which had inherited several problems following the bifurcation.

During the two-hour presentation, Naidu gave a well-structured and meticulous plan of action that the government proposes to pursue. He said five grids, seven missions and four campaign approaches would be followed to put the State again on global map.

He said the Water Grid would target utilisation of a 1,000 TMC of water to meet the requirements of industrial, irrigation and drinking water needs of the State. Achieving a synergy of all new water resources and integrating them with the existing ones would help in creating a water pool to sustain the objective of the Water Grid, he said.

The Roads Grid, the TDP chief explained, was expected to provide an integrated air, rail, water and road transport linkage which would help boost economy and agricultural. It would also help in promoting tourism and industrial growth in the state.

The Power Grid is aimed to supply round-the-clock power to the industrial, agricultural and domestic sectors. By reducing technical and commercial losses, establishing separate feeder lines, quality power could be supplied to all the three sectors, he added. If needed a separate corporation would be floated to take care of Power Grid, he added.

Naidu said the Fiber Optic Grid was expected to promote e-literacy and usher in technological empowerment to conduct online connectivity to transact various kinds of activities. The Chief Minister said together, the grid-mission-campaign approach forms the much needed matrix to shore up development and prosperity for creating a Swarnandhra Pradesh.
