Hyderabad: As far as the affiliations of the Private Engineering Colleges are concerned, the political leaders received a huge blow. Mostly, it is the colleges which belong to the TRS party leaders and supporters that didn’t get the affiliations. From the other end, the colleges pertaining to other party leaders and supporters are complete in affiliation process. Denigration makes its rounds inside the TRS party cadre over the very issue, reportedly.

According to sources, the management of the colleges approached the court on the very matter seeking a chance for them to correct the flaws that went into the issue. In view of the imminent completion of the first phase of counselling, which will be completed on August 25, the managements are requesting for an early decision so as to enable them to take part in the counselling.

Sources added that as many as three colleges owned by Mahender Reddy, a minister in the state cabinet of Telangana representing Ranga Reddy district, are trapped in the affiliation issue. In a similar vein two engineering colleges belonging to MLA Manohar Reddy of Karimnagar district apart from the two engineering colleges located in Khammam district which belong to MLC Nageshwar are also trapped. Nevertheless, as many as 15 colleges belonging to TDP MP Malla Reddy and his relatives are granted affiliations.
