However, the cause of the pain became clear when the nurse later found the teenager screaming over a toilet bowl full of tapeworms. The mom bought a pill of tapeworm eggs in Mexico and forced her to ingest it. This incident was also featured on Discovery Health's famous show Untold stories of ER that went viral instantly. The Nurse said that some of the worms were very long and wiggling around trying to get out of the toilet bowl.

The mom later apologized to the girl, “It’s like ‘I’m so sorry. You know, I did it just to make you a little skinnier. You needed some help before we went on to the pageant.”
