Jan Dhan will help poor: Venkaiah

Hyderabad: Jan Dhan Yojana to achieve financial inclusion of the poor was launched by the Union Minister for Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu here on Thursday.

“Financial inclusion of the poor will help in bringing them to the mainstream of growth and would also provide financial institutions an opportunity to be partners in inclusive growth,” remarked Venkaiah. He said the aim of the PMJDY, as it is called, was to ensure banking facilities, insurance and pension to the needy and low income groups.
