Film director Bapu’s last rites today, The last rites of Bapu will be held at Besant Nagar graveyard at on Tuesday, according to family sources. The last march will begin at 11 a.m. at their residence in Chennai and the last rites will be finished in the noon.

The last march will begin at 11 a.m. at their residence in Chennai and the last rites will be finished in the noon. Venugopal, the eldest son of Bapu, has arrived from Japan on Monday night.
It is evident that 80 year old Bapu, a music artist, painter, illustrator, cartoonist, and designer, suffered heart attack on Sunday evening and exhaled for the last time on Sunday evening at a hospital in Chennai. In 2013, he was awarded the Padma Shri, for his contribution to Indian art and cinema.
He directed in many languages of 51 films. The last film he directed was Sriramarajyam, starring Balakrishna and Nayanatara. He won two National Film Awards, five Andhra Pradesh state Nandi Awards, two Filmfare awards for Best Director for Telugu films Seeta Kalyanam & Vamsa Vruksham and a Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award – South for the year 2012.
