How would KCR tackle September 17 issue?

Medak by-election is in the eyes of TRS, Congress and BJP parties. All parties will have to dig out the negative issues of other parties to crusade during the election campaigning. The Bharatiya Janata Party mainly focuses on the September 17 issue to intricate TRS party. The Tuesday press meeting of Kishan Reddy, the BJP state president of Telangana, reveals the very issue.

The Telangana Chief Minister KCR is likely to have a problem with the official celebrations of Telangana Liberation Day on September 17. The Bharatiya Janata Party has been demanding the ruling government to conduct the event officially and the same was reiterated by Kishan Reddy on Tuesday as well. Also, in the past KCR has given a call to celebrate the day officially in all parts of the region, when the Telangana agitation was in its full swing.

From the other end, KCR has tied up an alliance with the AIMIM Party. This may have a direct impact on TRS Party led state government holding the celebrations, officially. The MIM party has previously opposed the move of celebrating the occasion for the party believes strongly that the erstwhile Hyderabad state was forced merged with India. Also, both the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party have celebrated the occasion officially as parties but never celebrated when they were in power as the ruling party of the state.

All these things could collectively turn the September 17 celebrations a great dilemma. There is no doubt that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi will have a tough time as the day approaches. The same may be used by the BJP as a missile to be launched during the election campaigning. In this milieu, how KCR would tackle this sensitive issue is a definite matter of interest to many.
