The Telangana Government has decided to reschedule agriculture loans in 100 mandals spread over three districts-Medak, Adilabad and Ranga Reddy.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has decided to reschedule agriculture loans in 100 mandals spread over three districts-Medak, Adilabad and Ranga Reddy. The banks according to officials have agreed for the rescheduling of the loans and the process of implementing the scheme would begin soon.

The loan waiver committee headed by by principal secretary (finance) Nagi Reddy met the bankers on Monday and told them that the government was ready to pay the interest on loans. The banks agreed to this proposal. The government officials said has also decided to reimburse the farmers who have already cleared the loans with banks till March 2014.


The committee decided to extend the time for preparation of beneficiaries list by Collectors till September 5. The banks will also submit their list by that time, officials said.

The meeting decided to hold video conference with all district collectors and bankers on Saturday so that it can take a decision in regard to the farmers who are in other districts.
