Tribute to Y S Rajashekar Reddy, a former Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh remembering him on his fifth death anniversary on September 2.
The family of late chief minister of united Andhra Pradesh, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy paid floral tributes to the departed soul on Tuesday at his resting place in Idupalapaya in Kadapa district. Several followers of YSR too gathered to pay their respects to the late chief minister.
YSR Congress party president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy accompanied by his family members including mother YS Vijayamma, sister Sharmila, wife Bharathi, and other members offered special prayers in Idupalapaya.
YS Rajaskhar Reddy helped Congress gain control over Andhra Pradesh after his landslide victory achieved by his padayatra Praja Prasthanam during which he visited every nook and corner of Andhra Pradesh which helped him come into power after ten long years in 2004. YSR was known for his welfare schemes for the poor during his tenure including Aarogyasri and free electricity to the farmers.
