YSR death anniversary observed
Hundreds of YSR Congress Party activists took part in a plethora of service activities across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the occasion of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy\'s fifth death anniversary on Tuesday.

Hyderabad: Hundreds of YSR Congress Party activists took part in a plethora of service activities across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on the occasion of former chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's fifth death anniversary on Tuesday. Party senior leaders and activists rededicated themselves to work for the ideals propagated and implemented by YSR for the welfare of the poorer sections of society.
Party senior leaders including MP Mekapati Rajamohana Reddy, Konatala Ramakrishna, Ummareddy Ven- kateswarlu, G Ramachandra Rao and Vijayasai Reddy paid floral tributes to YSR at the party central office here and called upon cadres to work for the economic and social betterment of the downtrodden.
On the occasion, leaders and activists donated blood and distributed books and cheques to poor school children at the party office. Similar social service activities were taken up by the party cadres in several towns in the two states.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajamohan Reddy said it was the pertinent wish of the YSR Congress Party that the two states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana should develop in all respects and Telugu people live in happiness despite all that has happened. Telugu people in the two states were feeling the great void created by the death of YSR. “It can never be filled,” he remarked, recalling the services of the departed leader.
