Singareni collieries: Man at work dies

Chevula Narayana, a 51-year-old coal filler employee, died at RK-I coalmine near Mandamarri area in Adilabad district, on Saturday morning. According to the details shared by the colleagues, Narayana collapsed all of sudden while handling the coal. The employees alleged that it was due to the scarcity of the air that led to the loss of life of Narayana, while holding Manger Sri Ramesh responsible for that.

The labour unions at Singareni Collieries have demanded an ex-gratia of Rs 25L to the victim’s family. The dead body of Narayana was visited by Mallikarjuna Rao, the general manager of Mandamarri area and Miryala Raji Reddy, the Chief Secretary of Singareni’s renowned labour union.
