No, we are not the ones saying this but the detractors of the Bollywood actress. Remember this scene in fashion? When showstopped Priyanka Chopra is asked to comment on top model Kangna's wardrobe malfunction, she plays it safe and says she might have done it for publicity. Well, that's how it is in case of Deepika too. A few opine that Deepika made the big bold statement to ensure success of her recently released film Finding Fanny which has opened to mixed reviews. Some others felt that Deepika's sudden Twitter outburst is also seen as a way to promote her upcoming film with Shah Rukh Khan-Happy New Year.

However, looks like it's just another case of a green eyed monster ranting over lack of opportunities or fame!

Shreya Sitharam, an ardent fan of Deepika says: "Deepika doesn't need to do that as she's already an established actress."

True, Deepika is at the top of her game and she's the reigning queen of Bollywood. So she needn't resort to such cheap publicity stunts for fame. Moreover, Happy New Year is touted as a fultoo entertainer with artistes like Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek etc. So this kind of negative publicity would be the last thing on Deepika's mind. In fact, Deepika would need the big media group more than anyone else now as there will be a lot of promotional activities before her upcoming film it theatres. Newspaper interviews would be one of them. So, rubbing media the wrong way would be a big minus for her acting career.

So, all those who are thinking that Deepika did this for publicity, back off! We salute the diva who had the guts to put her career at stake to protect her modesty. Kudos to her!
