Hyderabad: The boyfriend of Kavita, 22, the girl who committed suicide by hanging on Sunday at Gajularamaram Road in Indira Nagar, was arrested on Monday on charges of abetting suicide.
Mohan Reddy, 23, of the same locality, and Kavita, had been seeing each other for quite some time and were reportedly planning to enter into wedlock soon. But of late, Mohan started avoiding her calls and acted strangely. He refused to marry Kavita, said Jeedimetla sub-inspector Bhoopal Goud.
Unable to put up with the shock, Kavita hang herself in her house on Sunday night. In a suicide note left behind, the girl held Mohan responsible for her action. Based on the complaint lodged by her parents, Jeedimetla police registered a case.
