Days after celebrated Malayalam star Mammootty nominated Tamil stars Vijay and Suriya to spread the challenge of planting saplings, both the stars responded in a positive way. While Vijay decided to plant 25,000 saplings over a period of time before inviting school children to carry the noble task forward, Suriya, a couple of days ago, planted a coconut tree in the lawns of his Chennai house.

Stating that tree planting is close to his heart as afforestation is essential for a clean and green environment, he nominated the likes of Aamir Khan, Kichcha Sudeep and Mahesh Babu to take up the challenge a step higher. “I hope all their fans and of course my fans too support this wonderful cause,” said Suriya. Well, we hope our very own reclusive Mahesh responds to the challenge very fast!
