Srikakulam: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claimed here on Thursday that the difficulties facing by the government were temporary and wished that he would overcome them shortly.

Speaking to the media after unveiling the statue of TDP founder-president N T Ramarao at Pathivadapalem in Ranastalam mandal of Srikakulam district, he pledged to develop Srikakulam, standing 12th among the 13 districts, by formulating specific plans.

The government would complete the Thollapalli reservoir works by spending Rs.300-400 crore. It would establish a coconut unit and give a big boost to the cashew industry. Naidu stated that as the district was found suitable for pharma sector. Several companies would be established here, he said. He pledged to create public awareness for taking up commercial crops. Agro-based industries would also be set up.

While Naidu was going to Neliwada village in the mandal for a meeting with Dwkra women, eight women were injured when their vehicle was hit by an RTC bus coming from Amadalavalasa. He handed over a compensation of Rs.10, 000 to each injured and assured that the government would meet their treatment expenditure.

The CM inaugurated in the afternoon VKT Pharmaceutical Company at Derasam village. Because of his tight schedule, Naidu could not unveil the statue of former Union minister K Yerrannaidu near Ranastalam, as also that of NTR.
