Hard Rock Café is not frequented just for the live bands, karaoke and DJ nights but also for its food festivals. And one such festival is the Mexican Salsa Nights.

Cheddar Cheese Samosette, Burrito

It is a celebration of Mexican culture with tequila, margarita, burritos and tacos. To start off, the Tex Mex Salad accompanied with a Mexicana Cosmopolitan Cocktail is perfect. Freshly chopped mixed greens tossed with spiced walnuts and cheddar cheese is definitely a one-of-a-kind salad, while the Mexicana Cosmopolitan Cocktail is a perfect fusion of tequila, cranberry and lime juice that compliments the salad.

The Fire Cracker Crunchy Chicken Strips is a definite winner for its burst of spices and flavour of tangy chipotle. The Tijuana Chicken Tender which is marinated with smoky tijuana spice combined with guacamole ranch is irresistible. The Spicy Corn and Cheddar Cheese Samosette will appeal to all vegetarians. It is crispy, soft and is best devoured with a Basil Pesto Dip. The Orange Tequila Prawns , with king sized prawns is reduced with orange chipotle sauce and then flambéed with tequila for a smoky appeal, give unique flavour and are a must try.

A Mexican meal is never complete without a quesadilla, burrito or tacos. The smoked chicken and tangy bean tacos are a gourmet’s fantasy-come-true because of the grilled seasoned chicken, shredded lettuce, olives, pinto beans and sweet corn that are stuffed into it. The smoky char grilled Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla, though on a heavier side, is the most authentic quesadilla you would have in this part of the town. The BBQ Chicken Tostada is decent enough and not the best.

For vegetarians, the Albuquerque Veg Burrito, Samosette and the Assorted Vegetables and Crusty Cottage Stuffed Tacos are must tries. After a gastronomical taste of Mexico, the Sizzlin Skillet Scorched Dessert, which is a walnut brownie topped with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, would definitely make you go for a second serving.

Flip over to the other half of the menu and you can choose from a wide selection of tequila shots, margaritas and cocktails. Cactus Flower Shot, which is thrilling mix of tequilla and tobasco sauce, would blow your mind, while the classic margarita would complement the food.

Don’t be surprised if you are welcomed by the staff dressed in a Poncho and Mexican Hat, and if you are lucky you might also witness the staff shake a leg to Mexican music.

Mexican Salsa Nights, a month long event until September 28, is a definite recommendation for anyone who is looking to try authentic Mexican cuisine. This event brings you the sound, culture and taste of Mexico to Hyderabad.
